MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Mandarin Orange Cake Categories: Cakes, Fruits Yield: 8 Servings 1 c Flour 1 c Sugar 1/2 ts Salt 1 ts Baking powder 1 Egg 1 ts Vanilla 11 oz Can Mandarin oranges; - undrained 1/2 c Nuts; chopped Topping: 3/4 c Sugar 3 tb Butter 3 tb Milk Whipped cream topping or - ice cream Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8" square cake pan. In bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, egg, vanilla, oranges with their juices, and nuts. beat until smooth. Bake in prepared pan for 30 to 40 minutes or until done in center. Bring brown sugar, butter, and milk to a boil. Boil for 30 seconds. Carefully poke holes in cake with tines of fork.
