MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Lavender Lemon Bars Categories: Citrus, Nuts, Cookies Yield: 24 Servings 3/4 c Butter; softened 1/2 c Confectioners' sugar 2 c A-P flour 1/2 c Ground almonds 2 ts Dried lavender flowers 2 ts Lemon zest; grated MMMMM--------------------------TOPPING------------------------------- 1 3/4 c Sugar 1/3 c A-P flour 1/2 ts Baking soda 4 lg Eggs 1/3 c Lemon juice Confectioners' sugar Set oven @ 350°F/175°C. In a small bowl, cream butter and confectioners' sugar. Add the flour, almonds, lavender, and lemon zest; beat until crumbly. Pat into an ungreased 13x9" baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Meanwhile, in another small bowl, combine the sugar, flour, baking soda, eggs, and lemon juice; beat until frothy. Pour over hot crust. Return to oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars; dust with confectioners' sugar. Refrigerate leftovers.
