* Exported from MasterCook Mac * Justine's Lemon Bars Recipe By : Opera Great's Recipes-1970's Serving Size : 24 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Cookies Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 c Flour 1/2 c Powdered sugar 1/2 lb Butter 1 Lemon zest -- grated 4 Eggs 2 c Sugar 1/3 c Fresh lemon juice 1/4 c Flour 2 ts Baking powder Powdered sugar -- to dust In bowl, sift 2 cups four and 1/2 cup sugar. Cut in butter and lemon rind. When pastry clings together, press it into a 13x9x2" baking dish, pre-sprayed. Bake this at 350°F for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. In bowl, beat eggs until light. Beat in sugar, then the lemon juice and finally the flour and baking powder. Pour the lemon mixture over the baked crust. Bake the dessert at 350°F for 25 minutes.
