      Title: Diabetic Date Nut Cookies
 Categories: Diabetic, Cooky/bars, Desserts
      Yield: 1 servings
 
      1 c  Diabetic Orange Marmalade           1 c  Chopped Dates
      1 ts Baking Soda                       1/2 ts Cinnamon
    1/2 c  Shortening                          1 c  Nuts
      2 c  Flour                               1 ts Vanilla
      1    Egg                            
 
  Mix all ingredients together well.  Drop by teaspoon on greased
  sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes in a 350°F preheated oven.  Makes 36
