MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Shortbread Cookie
 Categories: Five, Snacks, Cookies
      Yield: 16 Servings

      1 c  Unsalted butter; softened
    1/2 c  Sugar
      2 c  A-P flour
           Confectioners' sugar (optional)

  Set oven @ 325°F/165°C.

  Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 5 to 7 minutes.
  Gradually beat in flour. Press dough into an ungreased 9" square
  baking pan. Prick with a fork.

  Bake until light brown, 30 to 35 minutes. Cut into squares while
  warm. Cool completely on a wire rack. If desired, dust with
  confectioners' sugar.
