MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Peanut Butter Cookies
 Categories: Cookies, Snacks, Nuts
      Yield: 36 Cookies

      1 c  Shortening
      1 c  Peanut butter
      1 c  Sugar
      1 c  Brown sugar; packed
      3 lg Eggs; room temperature
      3 c  A-P flour
      2 ts Baking soda
    1/4 ts Salt

  Set oven @ 375°F/190°C.

  In a large bowl, cream shortening, peanut butter, and sugars until
  light and fluffy, 5 to 7 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating
  well after each addition. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; add
  to creamed mixture and mix well.

  Roll into 1-1/2" balls. Place 3" apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  Flatten with a meat mallet or fork if desired. Bake 10 to
  15 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.
