MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Funk's Grove Route 66 Sugar Cookies Categories: Cookies, Snacks, Desserts Yield: 7 Dozen 1 c Butter; softened 1 c Granulated sugar 1/2 c Powdered sugar 3/4 c Corn oil 1/2 c Maple syrup 2 lg Eggs 4 c Flour 1 ts Baking soda 1 ts Cream of tartar 1/2 ts Salt Cream butter and sugars together, add corn oil, maple syrup and eggs and cream well; set aside. Sift together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Knead dry ingredients into creamed mixture to form dough. Chill dough for 1 hour. WHEN READY TO BAKE: Preheat oven to 350°F/175°C. Drop dough by teaspoonful on cookie sheet and press with glass dipped in sugar to flatten. Bake in 350°F/175°C oven for 12 minutes or until browned.
