                              Fairy Cookies

  Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

   1      c             Powdered sugar
   1      c             White sugar
   1      c             Margarine
   1      c             Vegetable oil
   2                    Eggs -- beaten
   1      ts            Vanilla or almond flavoring
   4 1/2  c             Flour -- +2 tb
   1      ts            Salt
   1      ts            Baking soda
   1      ts            Cream of tartar

Mix all ingredients. Chill dough and roll into balls. Press down with
fork or glass. Nuts or fruits may be added before chilling dough.
Bake at 370°F for 12 minutes. Should be light brown. This is a large
recipe and very good.
