* Exported from MasterCook * Butterscotch Pecan Squares Recipe By : Betsy Bowden, PK General Store Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Cookies Bars Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 14 oz Can sweetened condensed milk 12 oz Butterscotch chips 2 1/2 c Flour 1/2 ts Baking soda 1/2 ts Salt 10 tb Butter -- softened 2/3 c Sugar 1 Egg 1 ts Vanilla 1/3 c Pecans -- chopped Heat oven to 350°F. Butter a 13x9" pan. Line bottom and sides with foil. Heat condensed milk and chips over low heat, stirring, until chips melt. Combine flour, soda and salt. Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in flour mixture until dough just comes together. Reserve 1/2 cup dough. Press remaining dough into bottom and 1/2" up sides of pan. Pour butterscotch filling onto dough. Crumble remaining dough on top. Sprinkle with pecans. Bake until crust is golden brown, 30 to 35 minutes. Cool.
