                       Peanut Butter Bulgur Cookies

     2/3   c            Shortening
   1       c            Brown sugar
   1       c            White sugar
   1                    Eggs
   1       ts           Soda
   1       tb           Water -- hot
   1       c            Peanut butter
     1/4   ts           Salt
   1       ts           Vanilla
   1       c            Bulgur wheat -- reconstituted
   2       c            Flour

  Cream shortening and sugars, Add eggs, beat well. Dissolve soda in
  water. Add ingredients to sugar mixture. Add bulgur and flour, mix
  well. Roll in balls, press with fork. Bake 325°F for 15 to
  20 minutes.
