MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Cherry Plum Slab Pie With Walnut Streusel Categories: Fruits, Nuts, Pastry, Citrus Yield: 20 Servings 1 lb Fresh sweet cherries; - pitted 4 md Red plums; thin sliced 1/2 c Sugar 1/4 c Corn starch 2 tb Lemon juice Dough; for double-crust pie MMMMM--------------------------TOPPING------------------------------- 1/2 c Old-fashioned oats 1/2 c Walnuts; chopped 1/3 c A-P flour 1/4 c Sugar 1/4 c Brown sugar; packed 1 ts Ground cinnamon 1/4 ts Salt 1/2 c Unsalted butter; cold Set oven @ 375°F/190°C. In a large bowl, combine cherries, plums, sugar, corn starch, and lemon juice; toss to coat. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 16x12" rectangle; transfer to an ungreased 13x9" baking dish. Trim even with rim of dish. Add filling. For topping, in a small bowl, mix oats, walnuts, flour, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over filling. Bake until filling is bubbly and crust is golden brown, 50 to 55 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
