      Title: Sour Cream Apple Pie
 Categories: Celebrity, Pies
      Yield: 1 Pie
 
    1/2 c  Sugar
      1 c  Sour cream
      1 pn Salt
      2 tb Flour
      1    Egg; beaten
      2 c  Apples; (early tart apples);
           -chopped
      1    Pie shell; (single)

MMMMM--------------------------TOPPING-------------------------------
    1/2 c  Sugar
    1/4 c  Butter
      1 ts Cinnamon
 
  Oven at 375°F.
  
  Mix first 5 ingredients well. Add apples. Pour into unbaked pie crust
  and bake 30 minutes or until custard sets.
  
  Mix topping ingredients until creamy. Put on top of pie, mixing it in
  some with a fork. Return to oven for 30 or 40 minutes at 350°F.
  
  This is a recipe I know to be one of the best desserts I have ever
  enjoyed. It was one of my mother's favorites and one of the delights
  of my early life when she made one at least every week.
