MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Traditional Chocolate Chip Muffins Categories: Chocolate, Cakes, Nuts, Dairy Yield: 12 servings 1/2 c Butter; softened 1 c Sugar 2 lg Eggs; room temperature 1 c Plain yogurt 1 ts Vanilla extract 2 c A-P flour 1 ts Baking soda 1/2 ts Baking powder 1/2 ts Salt 3/4 c Semisweet chocolate chips MMMMM--------------------------TOPPING------------------------------- 1/4 c Semisweet chocolate chips 2 tb Brown sugar 2 tb Walnuts; chopped 1 ts Ground cinnamon In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in yogurt and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add to the creamed mixture just until moistened. Fold in chocolate chips. Fill 12 paper-lined muffin cups two-thirds full. Combine the topping ingredients; sprinkle over batter. Bake @ 350°F/175°C for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to wire rack. Serve warm.
