MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Puff Pastry Danishes Categories: Pastry, Cheese, Fruits Yield: 18 servings 8 oz Cream cheese; softened 1/4 c Sugar 2 tb A-P flour 1/2 ts Vanilla extract 2 lg Egg yolks 1 tb Water 17 1/3 oz Pkg puff pastry; thawed 2/3 c Seedless raspberry jam Confectioners' sugar (optional) Set oven @ 425°F/218°C. Beat first 4 ingredients until smooth; beat in 1 egg yolk. Mix water and remaining egg yolk. On a lightly floured surface, unfold each sheet of puff pastry; roll into a 12" square. Cut each into nine 4" squares; transfer to parchment-lined baking sheets. Top each square with 1 tb cream cheese mixture and 1 rounded ts jam. Bring 2 opposite corners of pastry over filling, sealing with yolk mixture. Brush tops with remaining yolk mixture. Bake until golden brown, 14-16 minutes. Serve warm and, if desired, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Refrigerate leftovers.
