Cut in shortening with pastry cutter or two knives. Mixture should look like small balls. Stir in milk and raisins. Turn onto lightly floured board. Roll out to 1/2. Cut into rounds with floured doughnut cutter. Arrange doughnuts on cookie sheets. Brush with melted butter. Bake 12 minutes in a 425°F oven. Brush again with melted butter. Combine 1/4 c sugar and 2 ts cinnamon to make cinnamon sugar. Makes 12 doughnuts - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
