* Exported from MasterCook * Kaiser Rolls Recipe By : The Bread Machine Cookbook Serving Size : 9 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Bread Machine Rolls Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- Nine Roll Batch: 3/4 c Milk 1 Egg 1 tb Butter 1 tb Sugar 1 ts Salt 2 1/3 c Bread flour 1 1/2 ts Yeast Poppy seeds -- for sprinkling Fifteen Roll Batch: 1 1/2 c Milk 1 1/2 Egg 1 1/2 tb Butter 1 1/2 tb Sugar 1 1/2 ts Salt 4 1/2 c Bread flour 2 1/2 ts Yeast Poppy seeds -- for sprinkling Set machine on dough cycle. When dough is ready, remove from machine and divide into the required number of rolls. Flatten to 1/2" thick. Cover with towel and let rise about 45 minutes, or until doubled, in a warm place. Preheat oven to 425°F. Brush tops with water and sprinkle poppy seeds. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. When properly done, the rolls should be golden brown and sound hollow when tapped.
