MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Pear Crisp Categories: Fruits, Citrus, Herbs, Grains Yield: 12 servings 8 md Ripe pears; peeled, thin - sliced 1/4 c Orange juice 1/2 c Sugar 1 ts Ground cinnamon 1/4 ts Ground allspice 1/4 ts Ground ginger MMMMM--------------------------TOPPING------------------------------- 1 c A-P flour 1 c Old-fashioned oats 1/2 c Brown sugar; packed 1/2 ts Baking powder 1/2 c Cold butter; diced Fresh mint leaves (optional) Set oven @ 350°F/175°C. Toss pears with orange juice; place in a greased 13x9" baking dish. Combine the sugar, cinnamon, allspice and ginger; sprinkle over pears. For topping, in a small bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar and baking powder; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over pears. Bake until topping is golden brown and fruit is tender, 35-40 minutes. Serve warm. If desired, garnish with mint.
