MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Pea Pulau Categories: Indian, Pilafs Yield: 4 Servings 2 c Rice; washed; drained 1 c Fresh garden peas -OR- 1 c Chickpeas; sprouted 1 c Paneer cubes 2 Black cardamom pods 2 Cinnamon sticks (1") 5 Cloves 2 Bay leaves 5 Peppercorns 2 tb Ghee 3 1/2 c Water 2 ts Salt 1 ts Turmeric powder 1 Onion; chopped Sauté the onion in ghee until translucent, remove from pan, and set aside. In the remaining ghee, add cinnamon, cardamom pods, cloves, bay leaves, and cumin, and sauté for 2 minutes. Add turmeric and cook another 3 minutes. Add the rice and peas and cook for another minute. Mix in water and salt. Place lid on pressure cooker and cook for 1 minute before bringing to maximum pressure. Allow to cool gradually before opening.
