* Exported from MasterCook * Beef Manicotti Recipe By : Phyllis Bassett Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Beef And Pork Pasta Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 lb Lean ground beef 1/2 lb Mild sausage 1/2 c Milk 1/4 c Onion -- grated 1 tb Parsley 3 tb Dry bread crumbs 1 ts Salt 1 1/2 c Mozzarella cheese -- shredded 1/4 ts Pepper 1 Egg 8 Manicotti shells -- uncooked Favorite spaghetti sauce Cook and stir the meat and the onion in a large skillet until the meat is brown. Drain off excess fat. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining ingredients (not the spaghetti sauce or shells). Fill the uncooked manicotti shells, packing the filling into both ends. Place the shells in an ungreased baking pan 13x9". Pour sauce over manicotti and cover with foil and put in refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Heat oven to 375°F, and bake covered for 1 hour. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and cool 5 to 10 minutes before serving. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
