                            Dried Apple Snacks

          small         Apples
                        String -- cut in lengths
                        Apple corer

Wash apples then remove the core from three or four of them using the
apple corer. Thread a string through each apple and tie a knot. With
the other end of each string, hand the apples outside in the sun to
dry. (Or apples can be hung from a rack in the oven. Set the oven
very low, 150°F.) When they are dried, remove the strings, slice and
eat.
