= How I found about about gopher

There were actually two different places,
and each of them increased my interest in, you know,
*that old thing*.

== Gemini

There was a gemini boom in 2019, or 2020, or like that,
and solderpunk described gemini as something that is
more user-friendly than gopher but still less featured than
web.

I didn't even want to checkout what the hell is this gopher,
because the focus of my interest was on gemini. 

== Suckless.org

I use dwm window manager, and I found the "The web sucks"
page [1], where gopher was noted as a counter-example
of the (bad) web.

Right after that I read a few phlogs on sdf via
http proxy, and finally decided to try gopher myself.
