More water please

There is a Keurig coffee machine thing in the breakroom. 
I never use it. 
However, I noticed as I walked past it 
that there was a message on its display saying 
"More water please". 

I was taken aback by the politeness of the machine. 
I thought it was my duty to give it some water. 
I filled water in the jug between the min and max lines 
and put it back in the machine. 

The machine now said 
lift [I forgot the word] to continue 
or something 
and I was like 

### but I don't want any coffee
