2019-09-21 - Ceasing to exist

Hmm, i think i'm slowly ceasing to exist in some other people's 
minds because i refuse to use a smartphone and WhatsApp. While 
other people are constantly sending eachother messages with their 
status and funny pictures of their whereabouts etc, i am simply 
offline. 

It seems everything is solely 'happening' on WhatsApp in an ever 
increasing amount. So even while people can just pass by, call, or 
send an old-fashioned SMS, this is done less and less...

It's funny to see how a simple app like WhatsApp has grown so 
insanely large that a majority of the population here has become 
dependent on it. And it's also funny to see that people who refuse 
to adopt, are left out (naturally). This also explains the very 
succesful adoption rate of course.

In any case. I will not get a smartphone with Whatsapp. If people 
don't bother enough just pass by in person, or call me on my Nokia 
Dumbphone, then well... Screw them

It seems that things are not perceived to be real anymore unless 
they are happening via the internet through some app or so...

Technology sucks sometimes...
