-- 1413 UTC Looking forward to the Manson concert tonight, and then tomorrow night, In This Moment. However, not looking forward to Sunday. I think two concert nights in a row will kill me. But, I'll find out if I'm getting too old for this shit :P -- 1640 UTC So, my adventures down the Arch Linux hole. Or, not really Arch. I've cut one of my workstations over to Manjaro Linux. The community i3 spin, in fact. I've been a pretty big user of i3 for a bit now, but things I always missed in i3 (Without work) was the cohesive "Desktop environment" aspects. No, I don't really need an automounting filesystem. I know how to use the "mount" command, and I don't like things getting mounted in /media/blah anyways. But things like nm-applet, status indicators, volume buttons, etc etc are nice. Manjaro i3 nails it all. Great, cohesive theming, volume/screen controls work. All-around smashing job. I have elementary OS installed on my work machine, mainly because work needs to be a "Debian-based" OS. But, I just use this machine for everything, anyways. I do like Elementary OS, though. Pantheon got everything right to improve GNOME2, and didn't make the mistakes GNOME3 made. If tiling WM's don't do it for you, give Elementary a spin.
