While waiting for the kid to finish swimming practice, I'm jogging down some quick notes. I finally said goodbye to the Exapnse, what's next? I started to listen to the Fellowship of the Ring. Hopefully I'll enjoy it and finish all three books. In the same time, I shared Project Hail Mary with the kid, they are enjoying it for the moment. On the work side, I still can't get over that aniety feeling. The technology we use kept chaning, maybe that's how folks in the company survived on: by making up problems to solve. Well that's not entirely fair. But what percentage are solving actual problems? I started to get hang of things, but not at a rate that I like. I hoped to spend some night time on work/tech stuff, but when the evenings fall, I always felt tired, wanted to relax, and thought, "not today". OK, that's it for today. Gotta watch out for the kid. --- Surfing the web and bumped into this game (roguelike + MMO) called tomenet. Holy shit I'm blown away. The ambience is awesome, the sound effect the music. I can tell it's got a LOT of depth in it. I hopped onto chat, there are actually people there! The background world is Tolkien. I'll check it out more.
