So today I logged into tilde.town for the first time. I'm an old school type who has grown disillusioned with what the Internet has become. I miss the old days of dial up BBSes, Usenet, global IRC servers, and all that other good stuff that's shuffled away over the years. All of the aforementioned technically do still exist, but IRC has become on a global level niche and stagnant. Usenet is unfortunately little more than an empty shell. BBSes just don't feel the same. The true community and discussions are gone, and they exist largely to play networked LoRD. I heard about tilde.town and the tilde concept last week and immediately jumped in. The notion of an intentional community intrigues me, and I'm liking what I've seen so far. Any tilders reading this feel free to say hey, and I hope to see you all around the server!
