Today was an alright day. It was probably the best one so far this week? idk
its hard to measure.

It started out with a little bit of chaos with me thinking my kid was sick, so
I kept them home from school. It is hard to know what the new threshold should
be for being well enough to go out. In this case, it was allergies. womp

This meant that I had to stay home with them this morning. And this caused me a
bit of stress due the the fact that we had layoffs on Friday. I need to make
sure I am not on the chopping block for the next round. Taking a morning off is
sadly now enough to cause a bit of stress apparently. Although my rational side
thinks it is because the wound is still fresh. Time will tell.

My favorite part of the day was getting to play some music with the kiddo. We
were playing copy-cat on the violin and mandolin respectively. It is so amazing
how well they pick up on things. Particularly their rhythm was really pretty
impressive for a 4 year old. And most importantly it was genuinely fun for both
of us.
