I believe that technology genuinely makes me a nicer person. Case in point,
this afternoon I added this one-liner to my .mailcap file:

> application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document;
> pandoc --from docx --to markdown %s; copiousoutput

Doing so prevented me from screaming at two or three well-meaning yet
technically-uninclined people, and thus my karmic balance was restored.
