i wrote a poem and i don't hate it

in fact i some how managed to internalize
internal rhyme and alitteration and assonance

two years and no formal training and i can
write a poem and not hate it right away

my job is going well but i don't have time
these days for poetry or pubnixes

i spend all day in front of a computer i'd like to come home
and spare myself, ya know?

anyway, im still alive, but not around
