i bought a "dumb"-phone yesterday, in particular a nokia 2660 flip, had a look around on reddit and it seems pretty nice. i like the form factor, it has bluetooth and it can play mp3 so i should be able to listen to music with no problems. Was also looking for a compromise, like some very pretty japanese phones (keitai) like the kyocera ones. They are very beatiful and they run android. so u can technically use them as "normal" phones. but i thought that i want a radical change, no silly compromise for the moment, i wanna be fully disconected. not connected but in a unconfortable way. i'll have these days to transition and then i count on completely shutting off my smartphone. Started looking for how to handle some things but i think it's not gonna be hard. I can use telegram from my laptop with no issues, also whatsapp should be fine, i can use the web-app from my pc and if it's gonna create problems i can use waydroid to emulate it and use it from there. i should be ok for the rest, i'll be carrying a little book to write things on, and then from time to time sit in front of my pc and check emails and messages from there. If somebody really needs me they can call me or send me an sms. i'm curious about how it's gonna be to not have acces to the train times or maps at all, but it's gonna be ok. i'm ok with having some troubles/difficulties. our parents grew up like this and had no problems at all. i'll keep you updated.
