So I will probably poke around their kernel code and do some lab exercises. If anyone else finds this fun, there are also video recordings of the class and discussion of the RISC-V xv6 kernel. The class videos seem to have been recording over Zoom during the pandemic, so they have all the problems of Zoom teaching. Still, it's better than nothing if you're doing the course on your own. While doing several other projects I also decided to pick up the project of moving my blog out of Wordpress. There is no need for me to have an interactive website and MySQL repeatedly has mangled my non-ASCII content which is easier to fix in Markdown than it is in SQL. (Never ever will I touch MySQL ever again.) So lots of noodling, trying out various half-baked projects, seeing if the Hugo exporter can be made to work etc. commented: Just playing some videogames and decompressing, probably. I didn't take any winter vacations this year (didn't have any left) but most people at my workplace are gonna be on vacation and I mostly got tasked with improving the codebase, which is something I find relaxing. I'm going to be taking it easy and see if I find the energy to work on the remarkable 2 stuff. commented: Trying out https://factorcode.org/ .
