Spent the whole day using CDE. Or something like that. I realized that
  it's almost irrelevant which desktop environment or window  manager  I
  use.  Most  of  the  time,  I'm  using  the  shell, Vim, mutt or a web
  browser.  As long as those programs are available I'm happy.  I  might
  as well use KDE, GNOME or no X11 at all...
