That window manager, katriawm[1], I wrote last christmas?  I still use
  it. I also wrote a status bar,  bevelbar[2],  matching  the  Motif-ish
  style.

  I  also  still  use  my own VTE frontend, xiate[3], and my own WebKit2
  frontend, lariza[4].

  That's satisfying. I wrote that software and I  can  actually  use  it
  every day. Even more satisfying: I wrote the code and it's indeed kind
  of "finished". I rarely touch the code, I  rarely  add  new  features.
  Mostly  bug  fixes.  I  like  that.  It's  software that does its job.
  There's no feature creep, no popularity contest.
