Does it?  What about women who are not nuns?  Is it just as
disrespectful to do with them as what is/was done to nuns?

Whether one is Catholic or non-Catholic, Christian or non-Christian,
is not the issue.  No woman should be treated in the way depicted in
the article cited.  No man, either.  Each and every one of us should
be appalled.  For those who are not, please get professional help.

Fair?  Would it have been fair for the pope to have swept it all
under the rug, never to see the light of day?  What if nobody knew
about all those nasty priests molesting little boys?  They would
still be doing it today!  And how many more nuns would get pregnant
at the hands of men who take advantage of them - just because they
can!

This pope is not the saintly JPII, who chose to do nothing.
This pope is more like Jesus, who was quite nasty, and even vile,
at those who mistreated children and women.  This pope picked up
the sword, and started swinging.  And I like it.

The last pope was up to his eyeballs with this type of sh*t.
He had backed himself into a corner and had no choice but to
resign from office.  His predecessor, now a saint, had done
nothing for over a quarter of a century, waiting until a year
before his death to start weeding out pedophiles in the ranks.
Had to protect his legacy, understand?  This scandal is what
the Catholic Church has brought upon itself.

Bill Clinton took advantage of a young intern in order to feed
his sex addiction.  Bill Richardson had similar problems but at
least was never POTUS.  In matters of faith and morals, both
are lacking.  But the same can be said of many others, including
the current occupant of the White House.
