Only for certain age groups.  The areas hit hardest have a large elderly
popularion and poor health systems.  Otherwise, COVID-19 is about the same as
the normal flu as deadly.

That's because many of us have had their flu shots - which helps slow the flu's
spread and because many of us have had the flu, so our bodies know how to fight
it off.

When they declare something to be a Pandemic, it's because they can't contain
it.  So the panic is useless.  COVID-19 is already not containable.
