I agree with you. Democrats want illegal immigration to become legalized;
that's their definition of "open borders." If they get their way, they will 
have a tremendous amount of new voters with an appreciation for the Democratic
Party.

I agree, but separating children from people who may or may not be their
actual parents might be a great thing to do for those kids. Separating 
children from people who snuck into the USA might be great for those children 
too.

If I smuggled my kids into Canada by swimming across the St Lawrence River, 
and I got caught, would the Canadian authorities suspect that maybe I'm being 
a lousy parent?

You're right! They need to work on immigration issues, both legal & illegal 
immigration issues, but neither party will budge on their position. Democrats 
are smart, whereas they won't do anything to weaken their party, but will do 
anything and everything to weaken their citizens. Republicans are smart too, 
whereas they won't risk losing votes. But the Democrats ultimately win on 
immigration, because the system is exactly where they want it to be.

that? Be cautious! Liberals can turn the world you live in upside down.
