Subj : D'Bridge 4 progress To : All From : Nick Andre Date : Sun Jan 01 2017 10:10 pm Version 4 is so far turning out to be a complete rewrite; it will not be possible to port the existing code over as-is without a LOT of messing around. Certain elements will be ported as they are; the dialup modem code that handles mail sessions (FTS, Wazoo, EMSI), the Queue system and its format along with a bunch of miscellaneous routines. It will resemble 3.99 in its menu screens and operation; everything else is getting redone from scratch. I am planning this to be cross-platform, GUI based with optional text-based operation. Everything is getting completely redesigned for point-n-click. I can say that so far, D'Bridge 4 will support Unicode and IPV6 natively. I cannot guarantee I can commit to any kind of a regular development schedule, but will try to post updates as I make my progress. I'm doing all of this on whatever little free-time-to-myself I get.
