IDK when - I took the time to make a little cmd line client for my 
decompression lib (github.com/mkrueger/unarc-rs) - can be installed with cargo: cargo install unarc-cli

It supports a ton of old formats and they're now usabale without dosbox - for the first time as far as I can tell :). Added new formats as well, ancryption & multi volume support and a way to crack passwords - sometimes I got old archives with pw protection - the algorithms used aren't strong.
Wouldn't really work for 7z (AES-256) bud old zip/arj/ace files are another story...
