THE LARGEST SUNSPOT OF 2025: A huge sunspot is turning toward Earth, posing a
threat for strong geoeffective solar flares. Amateur astronomers monitoring
the active region have found an unusual ring of "Ellerman Bombs" exploding
around the sunspot's planet-sized cores.
