Your using the wrong type of software. There is no need to always backup the whole drive.


Give veeam backup "Agent for Windows" a try. (Free for home use).

It will of course do a initial full lbackup, then incremental for the remaning untill the roll over date
and then depending on the settings a full backup.

It will backup to local hd, usb drive, network. Plus tell the kids to get off the lawn.*
