Well for me March is the slide towards Autumn. Daylight savings ends here in early April.

This weekend I have been painting a section of my house which was overdue for attention. It's a fiddly area that requires time spent on the roof in order to reach some of the weather boards.

It's slow but steady progress, spent about 5 hours on it y/day but paying the price today... my aches have aches :)

There are other home maintained things I should/could be doing before the daylight hours and temps drop again... a garden shed roof is rusting so it needs some rust killer on it and a paint... and there's a bit near out kitchen that needs some roof paint applied as well.

All of which I am planning on doing but taking a one job at a time approach.

Next month I'm traveling to help my Dad de-clutter his place as we prep it for sale, he wants to move to a retirement village... it's something I have been helping him with over recent years while my mums health declined... but now that she has passed (last Oct) I think the push is on to get the place listed in the coming year and make the move. 

While I am looking forward to seeing my Dad the notion of watching your family home of 50+ years get slowly de-constructed is not one I relish.

There's also some family birthdays this month, one tomorrow in fact so we have some kids around today for a shared lunch that will be nice :)
