EV> Ed Because there are zillions of different daylight savings zones around the world and politicians are constantly meddling with them, so if you want to make one model of clock and sell it everywhere the best option is just to leave it up to the end user. I doubt people could handle entering the daylight savings schedule into their clocks, the amount of people who can't even set the time on the simplest of devices should be testament enough. Plus the rules of daylight savings are really stupid, like back one hour at two o'clock on the first Monday of April and forward one hour at three o'clock on the last Sunday of October* type nonsense. No fixed dates and ridiculous times rather than midnight like any normal person would expect. The whole idea is just pure evil and should be flushed away with a bowlful of holy water. *Yes, I know this is wrong. It's meant to be an example. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A49 2024/05/29 (Linux/64) * Origin: 2o fOr beeRS bbs>>>20ForBeers.com:1337 (21:2/150) .
