Yes, more or less. Qedit begat The SemWare Editor for DOS, which became TSE 
for DOS/Windows.

I was trying to find a copy of QEDIT online to download for my on-the-road 
editing, forgot they had a DOS TSR version, when terminate-and-stay-resident 
programs were all the rage. Borland Sidekick was the one to beat - lots of 
add-ons that come in handy when you're running a single-tasking OS.

(aside: I ended up  with a  copy of  VDE for  DOS -  configurable, uses  the 
Wordstar key bindings by default, and I had it in my util directory. I  used 
to use it for creating tfiles that I wanted to have justified paragraphs.
