Italy was great. We packed a lot into 10 days -- several in Rome, staying near the Trevi fountain. A couple of days in Florence, a day in Venice, a day in Siena, and a day trip to the countryside for a pasta making (and eating!) class. 

We packed in a lot of museums and cities to give the kids a feel for what they'd want to come back to see. I think we all agreed we wanted more time in Venice and in the country.

Definitely worth it.
