Subj : Setting the default message area & group To : All From : hyjinx Date : Sun Jun 20 2021 04:32 pm Hi All, When BBS users first log in, as per omost Mystic boards, it asks them if they want to read their own messages. I have noticed that: a) the message group and area are always remembered from your last session. So if you were in FSX: BBS the last time, you'll automatically log in with that as your current group/area. I can't see any configuration way to override this. b) If you want to read your own messages, or post a message to the sysop, you must be in a Local message area (makes sense), however, unless you go to the messages menu and change to the local area, you can't read your emails on login or any other time. Anyone know how to force setting to the local message group every time you log in, or make reading/replying to own mail on login work without having to manually set your base first?
