I did some reading and set

PYTHONPATH=/usr/local/lib/python2.7
PYTHONHOME=/usr/local/lib/python2.7

and they now display when I type env as a command

Annoyingly the script still crashes. I have also checked my Python is 64 bit
not 32 bit.
