It happens due to bugs in the software, ie, not failing gracefully.

Hopefully, but it sounds like he deleted it.

If you didn't delete it, you could try sending it to james so he can find
the bug in mystic that the dodgy packet is triggering.

Also, I wouldn't mind taking a look at the packet too as I've been
battling similar problems in my software, would be good to test against.
