Subj : Fido-like network config To : All From : seeLive Date : Sun Dec 19 2021 03:09 pm Now that I have fsxnet working, (big shout out to Avon and Solaris for all their help!!!), I'm looking to setup some more networks and am curious about certain aspects of setting them up... With fidonet, for example, you have to prove your bbs is setup to send netmail before they will talk to you. That's fine, but is it actually possible to send netmail BEFORE you have Binkp correctly configured and pointing to an existing hub? It seems to me that the first step is to setup an echomail address and a WORKING node BEFORE you can send that first netmail. It's not a big deal to me because I have fsxnet working, but for people starting from scratch, how can you send that first netmail without this in Mystic? I'm also looking to setup Retronet and ArakNet... any insights for a starting place will be greatly appreciated!
