It's just the usual ESC[A ESC[B etc - except I believe mystic expects all
the characters to be in one packet (I was told this, can't confirm)

I've run into the same issue with my telnet client for my OS. Originally
I thought it was too slow (there has to be a timeout for differentiating
between someone pressing the ESC key vs someone sending an arrow key or
some other extended key)
