SBBSecho and hpt both have options to put aside messages older than a certain
time. I use -tooOld 60 with hpt and MaxEchoMailAge = 30D in sbbsecho.ini.

I'm not sure what BBBS would do with those old messages. They would get trapped as dupes if they were in the dupe database I guess.
